Our campaign is entirely funded by supporters.

We don't receive any government funding for local council elections, and we don't take any campaign financing from big business.

In fact, our starting budget for this campaign is $0. So every cent we want to spend on reaching voters will have to come from direct donations from people like you.

The 2024 Brisbane City Council election campaign marks a crucial moment in Australian politics. We know that lasting change comes from the bottom up, and as we stare down the barrel of multiple overlapping crises, the public appetite for radical system change is stronger than ever. But the blunt reality is that we need money to help us reach people.

What we mostly anticipate spending your donations on:

- (hopefully) paying a small, committed core of two or three part-time staff to help coordinate and support the hundreds of volunteers who are signing up to campaign for us
- community event expenses
- creating high-quality digital content
- printed campaign materials like signs and flyers (but not too much - we don't want to create unnecessary waste)
- heaps and heaps of vego sausages

We know a lot of people are financially stretched right now, but if we can win control of Brisbane City Council, we'll be able to directly improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. So please give what you can...
