Coorparoo Campaign Strategy Day 2: Campaign Planning

Dear allies and comrades,

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians on whose precious lands we live, work, play and rest. In everything we do, we centre those who have cared for each other and for Country for centuries and we consider future generations.

On that note, the Coorparoo campaign committee warmly invites you to be part of a two-part planning workshop for the Coorparoo campaign. For the first time ever, we have a strong, proud, queer Jarowair and Wakka Wakka man running for Coops: and it’s winnable. So exciting!

Please join us over two consecutive Saturday afternoons listen, learn, reflect, and contribute:

Saturday 15/4: Campaign values and working in ways that feel culturally safe for First Nations folks.

Saturday 22/4: Campaign planning.

All welcome to come along, however, we particularly encourage First Nations folks and folks from that incredibly diverse group known as people of colour to show up in solidarity and contribute. Throughout this campaign, we genuinely hope to make space for, and hear, the lived experiences, ideas, aspirations, concerns, and vision of folks who face racism in daily life.

Important info: Both days: 12.30pm for a 1pm start until 4pm.

The Holland Park Library is fully accessible. The Gabba Ward Office is partially accessible (no disabled bathroom). Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available from 12.30pm. We strongly encourage you to attend both days as the second day builds on the first. For catering and planning purposes, your RSVP is essential.

Can’t wait! See you there.
