The Greens have begun announcing their candidates for Brisbane City Council.

So what kind of campaign will this be, and why does the 2024 council election matter?

What sorts of things does Brisbane City Council have control of, and what’s the strategic significance of the mayoral campaign in the context of Australian state and federal politics?

This free public forum is open to anyone who’s interested in learning more about the Greens local government election campaign. We’ll have a few speakers to share their thoughts and take questions from the audience, then facilitate open group discussions so everyone who wishes to can share their perspective.

You’ll also be able to meet some of our candidates for local council wards, and plenty of other people who are passionate about Green politics.

Note that this forum will cover the same content as the forum on Wednesday 30th August at Upper Mt Gravatt. We encourage you to go to whichever one is most convenient for you.

To assist us with capacity planning, please make sure you register for this event via the RSVP link.
