West End Public Holiday Doorknock (Gabba)

439 votes. That's how much Jonno beat Labor by in 2016 to become our first Greens councillor. With the constant negative media and attacks from the major parties, re-electing Jonno will be an uphill battle.

The LNP-dominated council want nothing more than to remove the only person fighting for neighbourhoods that work for everyone, not just property developers and the mega-wealthy. Don’t let them win!

Re-electing Jonno will demonstrate that his democratic approach of giving residents real power over their neighbourhoods is not only practical but popular.

Join us this Sunday as we speak to residents about what kind of future we want for Brisbane and ensure we re-elect Jonno to Brisbane City Council. It’s our last campaign event before Christmas. Stick around after the doorknock for drinks and Christmas games.

We know that one-on-one conversations are the most effective way to connect with residents. With faith in the major parties at an all-time low, and political engagement plummeting, often a conversation with a friendly Greens volunteer at the door is all that's needed for someone to vote for Jonno!

Don’t worry if you’ve never doorknocked before – new volunteers will be partnered with experienced campaigners and we'll run a comprehensive training before heading out. If you are feeling tentative about talking to people on the door, you can also tag along just to observe.

Just bring a water bottle, sunscreen (if you need it) and a hat.
