Reimagine Brisbane: Ideas Fiesta and Policy Conference

Imagine a city where getting around is cheap, convenient, sustainable and healthy for everyone... a city where all residents are guaranteed a home, regardless of their social status or income level.

Imagine a city that embraced deliberative democracy, and gave local residents more power to decide how their neighbourhoods change and evolve, while respecting Indigenous sovereignty and working towards truth-telling, reparations, land rights and treaties.

Imagine a city where neighbours know, trust and support each other, and well-supported community groups connect us together, providing services, projects and events that actually meet people's needs...

Such a city is not only possible, but already slowly becoming a reality. Please come along on Saturday, 30 November to join us for a day of scheming and dreaming.

We'll be hosting talks and forums from experts in a range of fields, from housing to transport to the arts to climate change adaptation, as well as facilitating open discussions and collective visioning exercises so you can tell Jonno (and each other) what's important to you.

We're also making space for local community groups to set up stalls, connect with residents and let them know what you do. (Send us a message if you'd like to host a stall)

We want to hear from you! The discussions and ideas generated through the visioning workshops will directly feed into Jonno's policy advocacy strategy.

Food: vegetarian lunch and afternoon tea provided.

Accessibility: wheelchair accessible, disabled and ambulatory access bathrooms available, all bathrooms will be gender-neutral. If you require AUSLAN interpretation or child minding, please advise us and we will do our best to accommodate this.

This event will be held on Yuggera and Turrbal country. Sovereignty over these territories has never been ceded.
