Toolmoor Truth and Healing Circle: Carpool and Minibus Convoy

The Toolmoor Truth and Healing Embassy at Deebing Creek is offering Truth and Healing Circles at the Deebing Creek Protection site. The Gabba Ward Office is organising a minibus and carpool convey to help get inner city residents out to site.

Truth and Healing Circle Information

The Embassy has developed a full day introductory program that will be presented by Elders, on-site protectors and local community members as an informal gathering for allies, accomplices and supporters to gain an insight of the movement to protect Deebing Creek. Through sharing the true history of Deebing Creek site, you will be able gain an awareness and understanding of the significance of protecting the land from further development.

These sessions are open to anyone interested. It is sometimes untruths, guilt and fear that create inaction. Once two way sharing occurs - then healing can start for people and country. Please make sure you register your attendance on the Facebook event page.

The protection camp will provide tea and coffee. Event guests are encouraged to bring something to share for lunch. The Gabba Ward Office will be bringing vego sausages to BBQ and share.

Minibus and Carpool Convoy Information

We will meet in the car park of the Gabba Ward Office (pink star in image below) and travel together as a convoy to the Deebing Creek Protection Camp. Please arrive at 8:30am as we will be leaving at 8:45am sharp! The trip is roughly 45 minutes long and we are aiming to get back to the Gabba Ward Office by 4:30pm.

Registration closes midnight Thursday 24 June.

We have booked a 12 seat mini bus and have a 5 seat office ute that we will be using to bring people out to site but would love to increase our capacity. If anyone has a vehicle with spare seats who would be comfortable offering a ride to others please let us know via an email to [email protected].
